“ALBANIAN SOCIETY FOR TRAUMA AND EMERGENCY SURGERY” (ASTES) was founded as a voluntary union of several health professionals who are part of the medical services in trauma and acute care surgery, was founded on November 22, 2016 in Tirana, Albania after the initial meeting on.

It includes a wide range of “health professionals“, who in their daily activities, dealing with the management of trauma and Emergency Surgical, in all of its levels as; Education & Prevention; outpatient services; the Hospital service at Municipal, Regional and Tertiary; the service in Emergency Department; the Service in Emergency Rooms ; the Service in the Intensive Care Unit; the Services in the Surgery Departments at all levels of the hospitals; the Rehabilitation Services and Domestic services … which are closely linked with the relevant personnel in each service, including all specialties as; the family Physicians, the Emergency Physicians, the Radiologist, the General & Trauma Surgeons, the Neurosurgeons, Anesthetist & Intensivist, the Orthopedic Surgeon, the Vascular & Thoracic Surgeon, ENT surgeon, the Maxillofacial Surgeon, the physiotherapist Teknik & Physicians and all Internal services (pathologist, Infectionist, Gastro – Hepatologist, Hematologists, Endocrinologists, Pneumologist, Endoskopist …) as an integral part of the performance and in any medical institution, the nurse service as essential to the existence of any medical unit.

The official date of its founding is a court decision No. 5522, in 13-th day of January 2017 in the judicial district of Tirana, after the necessary documentation was completed under the laws of the Albanian state, after surrendering the relevant documentation (founding act, Statute of …)
