This September, Tirana will host the 10th Jubilee Edition of the Albanian Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery – ACTES 2026, bringing together leading Albanian and international experts for three days of education, scientific exchange, practical training, and professional collaboration.
Under the motto “A Decade Together Toward Excellence”, ACTES 2026 will feature a broad multidisciplinary programme covering trauma and emergency surgery, acute care surgery, critical care, anesthesia, orthopedics and traumatology, abdominal and thoracic surgery, cardiac and vascular surgery, imaging, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, artificial intelligence in surgery, and many other areas.

Among the distinguished international faculty are Federico Coccolini, Fausto Catena, Luca Ansaloni, Diego Mariani, Boris Kessel, Gianpaolo Carrafiello, Chrysanthos Georgiu, Dietrich Doll, Donald Whitaker, Arda Işık, Guy Golani, Conor Deasy, Panteleimon Vassiliu, Mehmet Eryilmaz, Bogdan Diaconescu, Belinda De Simone, David Aranovich, Dimitrios Koulalis, Thorsten Randt, Francesk Mulita, Ernst Orthner, Albion Totsi ect, and many other experts from Europe and beyond.

The scientific program includes Keynote Lectures, Meet the Experts sessions, multidisciplinary scientific sessions, debates, oral presentations, rapid e-poster presentations, the Student Trauma Session, the Trauma Survivor Game, and the special symposium “Foot Surgery: From the Basics to Sophisticated”, organized in collaboration with the German Society for Foot and Ankle Surgery – GFFC and ASTES.
